Capture an iPad or another screen
Show the screen on your computer with AirPlay or a cable. A step is taken each time the screen changes.

Show the iPad on your computer
- AirPlay: on the iPad open Control Center, tap Screen Mirroring and choose your Mac. Turn on AirPlay Receiver on the Mac first, in System Settings, General, AirDrop and Handoff.
- Cable on a Mac: connect the iPad, open QuickTime Player, choose File, New Movie Recording, and pick the iPad next to the record button.
Capture
- 1In the desktop app choose iPad or other screen.
- 2Click Find the window and pick the one showing the iPad.
- 3Press Start capture and use the iPad.
The app cannot see taps on the iPad itself, so it takes a step each time the screen changes and settles, plus one at the start. Press Alt + Shift + D or Take a step now to add one yourself. Then use Write with AI to describe each step.
TipThis works for any screen shown in a window on your computer, not only iPads.
